The taxis in Control Resonant belong to "The Last Taxi", a side story that sends Dylan hunting supernatural cabs across Manhattan. There are seven taxis — one in each main zone — and each leads to a puzzle.
How The Last Taxi works
Each taxi drops you into a fogged-out pocket dimension called a Threshold. A trapped civilian named Mila waits on the other end of a payphone. To bring her home you must find all seven taxis and solve the light, sound or shadow puzzle tied to each one.
- 1Find and enter a taxi in one of the seven zones.
- 2Answer Mila’s phone inside the Threshold.
- 3Clear three rounds of the puzzle by entering the taxi that stands out.
- 4Repeat in every zone to finish the side story.
All seven taxi locations
- The Park — top floor of the central parking garage; climb the mold wall to the roof, then drop through the gap.
- West Incursion Zone — vertical car park at Empire Avenue Station, near the red "EMPIRE" text (needs Shift/Gravity).
- Central — alley northeast of the Field Office, close to the Patterned Factory.
- Downtown — in a traffic jam in the northeastern Deserted Area.
- Evacuation Zone, Underpass and the Unknown — one taxi each; these open up as you progress through the story.
